THE HISTORY OF
BOLLER CUSTOM HOMES
About Steven Boller of Boller Homes
Steven Boller is a second-generation custom home builder, specializing in new residential construction, complete home renovation and custom restoration. A licensed, bonded and insured General Contractor in Marion County, since 2000. Experience ranging from custom design and general contracting to complete home renovations, with his own hands. You will be hard pressed to find someone for your project with more knowledge and skill in home design and construction because he doesn’t JUST sub-contract projects, he sometimes does it himself.
The History of Boller Homes
Steven Boller was first introduced to new home construction in 1980, at the age of fourteen when his mom, Mary Boller partnered with Steven Hoss and formed Hoss/Boller, Inc. Steven began working for Hoss/Boller during his high school summers, when in 1982 Mary Boller went on her own and formed Mar-Bo Designer-Builder, Inc. After high school, Steven attended Vincennes University, studying Construction Technologies, furthering his construction knowledge.
Steven began working full time at Mar-Bo where his responsibilities quickly increased to every aspect of custom home building; Supervising every part of new home construction from project beginning to the end.
In 1996, Steven built his first solo project under Boller Custom Homes, incorporating the business in 2000 while continuing to work with Mar-Bo, growing both companies. Mar-Bo and Boller Custom Homes, Inc. were credited for building custom homes from the east side of Geist Lake in Marion County and west to Zionsville. Homes were constructed in the Indianapolis, Fishers, Oaklandon, Noblesville, Carmel, Zionsville and several other outlying areas.
After the recession, Steven began project managing high-end home remodel /remediation projects. Many of the projects were “stem to stern” and often contained structural defects that had to be addressed during the scope of work. As the real estate market improved, Steven began purchasing distressed homes, to flip, executing much of the work himself. Every project phase from demolition, concrete flatwork, finishing hardwood floors and everything in between, was self-performed.
Although Steven Boller has always been a hands-on general contractor, who is able to complete with the highest degree of quality, nearly every aspect of home construction, he is also a Project Manager who’s largest shortcoming is not being able to rest until a project is complete. His many year of experience managing a successful general contracting company has allowed him the firsthand knowledge of how to delegate responsibility, supervise, prioritize, and grow a company from the ground up to a successful business.
